Volunteer Driver Program

Become a Volunteer Driver for Tri-CAP

Generous Mileage Reimbursement

Give Back

If you love to drive and want to make a difference, join Tri-CAP as a Volunteer Driver.

Volunteer drivers provide rides using their own private vehicles or agency-owned vehicles to the residents of Benton, Sherburne, Stearns, Mille Lacs, and Morrison counties. They choose the times, days, and areas they wish to drive. Volunteer Drivers provide transportation to destinations not served by the Tri-CAP bus service. Drivers can choose from local in town rides or to destinations all across Minnesota.

Tri-CAP Volunteer Drivers provide much-needed transportation for passengers going to medical appointments, visitations and other essential needs in and around the communities of Central Minnesota using their personal vehicle and receive mileage reimbursement or by using our agency owned vehicles.

Drivers who use their own vehicles are reimbursed at the maximum Federal IRS rate and may also be eligible for some meal reimbursements. This allows drivers to earn extra spending money while making a difference in their community.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver, please submit the form below, or call 888-765-5597 or 320-251-1612 for more information.
