Dispatch Center Hours of Operation

To schedule or adjust your ride, the Tri-CAP Dispatch Center will be open Monday through Saturday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

 

COVID – 19 Health and Safety Precautions

Tri-CAP is monitoring and following COVID-19 safety guidance as we provide essential public transportation services.

 

PUBLIC TRANSIT BUS SERVICES

Curb-to-curb transit services available throughout our service area.  Buses operating in bus service in Benton, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Sherburne, and Stearns counties along with the cities of Albany, Sauk Centre, Melrose, St Joseph, Cold Spring, Paynesville, Little Falls, Big Lake, Elk River, Milaca and Princeton. The bus service is available to the general public with no age or income requirements, and all buses are handicapped accessible.

Bus reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance. Bus schedules and service hours vary by service area.  Schedules are subject to change without notice. View the Tri-CAP Riders Guide for detailed information on service operations.

Schedule availability can change daily and is always dependent on how quickly time slots are filled by passengers in a given area.

VOLUNTEER DRIVERS

Providing rides using their own private vehicles to the residents of Benton, Sherburne, Stearns, Mille Lacs, and Morrison counties. Passengers are assigned to volunteers by the Tri-CAP dispatch center and may be traveling to medical appointments or a variety of other destinations. Volunteer drivers are reimbursed at the Federal IRS rate and may also be eligible for some meal reimbursements. To quote one of our volunteers “It’s a good feeling being a volunteer driver.” Call for an application if you would like to help provide this vital community service.

PERSONAL TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM

A Personal Transportation Program is available to qualified clients in Stearns, Benton, and Sherburne counties to purchase a vehicle from Tri-CAP. CITY  $1.25 One Way (or 1 City Token)

RURAL $3.00 One Way (or 1 Rural Token)
plus $1.25 for “In City” Stops or Boarding.

SAME DAY RESERVATION: $.75 additional per one way
